What a great time everyone had at Carmen's Chicken Cantina Tournament

The Tournament of Roses took place for the 16th time in so many years and the sun shone on the ladies who took part

Thank you Lorne Ginther for such a wonderful day

We played three games and enjoyed a lunch served by several gentlelmen bowlers and each lady was given a beautiful long stemmed rose.  We played for the coveted Tournament of Roses shirts.

The Gold Medal Men's Provincial 4's went to Dave Baldwin and team

It was a very exciting game at Stanley Park for the Ladies Provincial 4's 

Mary Wright, Beryl Harrington, Belle Chan, Anne Van Bastlerie were tied coming home. 

The opposing skip burnt the end forcing another end.  

It came down to calling the umpire for a measure....after three measures the opposing team won by a hair with Mary and the team winning silver and going on to Edmonton for the Canadian National Championships

On June 1st after the Commonwealth Games qualifying camp we were fortunate to have David Millard, Coach of Team Canada from Newcastle, Australia spend a day coaching members of the White Rock Lawn Bowling Club.

David is an inspirational, positive teacher and we are grateful he could spend a day with us.

The clinic took place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Thank you David.....we learned a lot from you and welcome you back anytime!

It is with sadness to announce the passing of Malcolm MacDonald who passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2010

Malcolm was a long time member of the Club and we will miss him.

May 24-28th, 2010 White Rock is conducting Bowls Team Canada Trials for the Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi, India in October, 2010 

Coach Millard will be conducting a one day coach clinic in White Rock on Tuesday, June 1st 9:30 - 4:00 p.m.
